On February 28, a presentation of the book by Dr. Oleg Kozerod titled "Modern EU Policy on Development and protection of Jewish communities: Declarations and Realities"

took place at the Center for European Democracy Studies.

In this work, the legal framework of the EU policy regarding the "Jewish question" was analyzed, as well as the specific steps taken by European governments towards Jewish communities. The author informed the audience about the formulation of specific decisions in Brussels regarding the fight against anti-Semitism and assistance in the fostering of Jewish life.

He noted the difficulties faced by EU countries in adopting the IHRA definition of anti-Semitism and highlighted delays in implementing the EU Strategy on combating anti-Semitism and fostering Jewish life.

The presentation was held in a friendly atmosphere, with many questions raised about the EU's contemporary policy on the "Jewish question" following the events of October 7, 2023.
