The summit will bring together key leaders, including European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Council President António Costa, and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. EU High Representative and Vice-President Kaja Kallas will also take part in the discussions.
During the meeting, participants will assess recent progress in EU-Armenia relations and explore ways to expand cooperation across critical sectors such as the economy, connectivity, and security. Broader regional and global issues—including developments in Ukraine and the Middle East—will also feature on the agenda, alongside efforts to promote long-term stability and sustainable growth in the South Caucasus.
A central outcome of the summit will be the launch of a new EU-Armenia Connectivity Partnership. This initiative will focus on improving transport, energy, and digital links, as well as strengthening people-to-people connections through dedicated high-level dialogues. Additional efforts will aim to attract private EU investment to support Armenia’s economic development.
Leaders are also expected to advance cooperation in security and defence, including the creation of a new EU Partnership Mission in Armenia. Another milestone will be the initial signing of a working arrangement between Frontex and Armenia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs.
