In the period from February 13 to 16, 2026, the All-Ukrainian Public Organization "Leading Legal Initiatives" (NGO "Leading Legal Initiatives"),

commissioned by the Center for the Study of European Democracy (Brussels, Belgium), conducted a sociological study. The survey was conducted in Ukraine (except for the occupied and front-line regions, a sample of respondents taking into account internally displaced persons in the regions) and abroad (proportionately by country, by the number of Ukrainian refugees in them) - 15,324 respondents aged 18 and over. 50% were interviewed by the "face-to-face" interview method and 50% - by phone. The survey was conducted through the mobile application of the "IQR" system and its own model of artificial intelligence - "PPIAI Research Political Analytics Platform" (developed by specialists of the NGO "Leading Legal Initiatives" and the Estonian campaign "AIGOV COLSULTING"). The error of representativeness does not exceed 0.5%.

It should be noted that during the year of US President Donald Trump's rule, Ukrainians lost hope for Trump's support for Ukraine, if immediately after his election almost 50% of Ukrainians believed in support, then today the majority of 51.25% believe that Trump does not support Ukraine. At that time, 62.44% were confident that Trump would be able to help end the war. Twice as many Ukrainians believe that Trump takes a more loyal position towards Russia than towards Ukraine, and 74.46% are sure that the USA influences the situation in Ukraine. The majority of voters are very outraged by Trump's actions, often use obscene language, say: "Trump and Putin are one Satan."

At the beginning of Trump's term, most Ukrainian politicians tried to find an opportunity to communicate with Trump, even a photo next to him raised ratings in Ukraine, but today politicians need to be careful about "friendship" with Trump and vice versa, who will argue with the US President, will gain respect and increase ratings in Ukrainian society. The number of respondents increased by almost 6% (69.21%), compared to the survey a year ago, who consider European countries' military aid to Ukraine to be insufficient.

Today, Ukrainian society does not believe in security guarantees for the country from the USA and European countries. Instead, they are sure that the Ukrainian military and people are used as a protection (shield) of the European borders from the Russian aggressor. Our own military and patriotic potential, the development of our own weapons production, the return of Ukraine to the club of nuclear states with the development of the production of tactical nuclear weapons, the construction of our own professional army - these elements of the security and defense system can protect Ukraine from possible future wars. 8 times, the opinion changed, from 16% to 2% in a year, respondents do not believe that membership in NATO will be a guarantee of security.

Complaints about low salaries and pensions, power outages, rising prices. Fear of forced mobilization, criticism of the working methods of the TCC (it is a military administration body in Ukraine that replaced the former military commissars. He carries out military registration, mobilization measures, conscription for contract service). Disappointment in the future of Ukraine, plans for emigration, distrust of politicians and political forces. All this led to a drop in their ratings, the ratings fell and became less than 10%, among others, the majority wants to see a politician who will ensure a quick and stable peace, fast economic growth (jobs, salary and pension increases, cheap products and a decrease in the cost of electricity, gas, utilities, medicine). They want to see someone who will punish the corrupt and destroy corruption once and for all. A professional, an industrialist, a businessman, a specialist in public administration. Many voters say that they do not want to see volunteers, athletes and artists in power. Even 1% of voters want the return of power from the times of Yanukovych and Azarov.
