Austria's far-right Freedom Party (FPO), led by Herbert Kickl, has announced the formation of a new political alliance with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor
Orban's Fidesz and the populist Czech ANO party, headed by Andrej Babis.
In a media statement attended by all three leaders, Kickl expressed confidence that many other European parties would soon join their alliance. However, according to the European Parliament's regulations, forming a new political group requires the participation of parties from at least a quarter of the 27 member states.
